Dear Liz,

I’ve never been unemployed before this, believe it or not! I got laid off seven weeks ago from my job as CTO in a start-up company that was hemorrhaging money. I don’t blame my CEO for cutting me loose. A number of our early deals went south and there was no money to invest in the product anyway.
